    Hampir seluruh keputusan manajemen sebuah organisasiperusahaan senantiasa berlandaskan dari serangkaian informasi dan analisa. Salah satu informasi dan analisa yang penting adalah accounting information yang diperoleh dari  hasil pengolahan data-data laporan keuangan. Namun demikian Laporan Keuangan seperti Rugi Laba, Neraca dan Arus Kas perusahaan saja belum cukup untuk dapat secara menyeluruh dijadikan sebuah sumber informasi. Untuk mengolah data laporan keuangan menjadi sebuah rangkaian informasi ini diperlukan teknik-teknik tertentu yang lebih dikenal dengan managerial accounting.

    Perbedaan yang mendasar antara finacial accounting dan managerial accounting adalah bahwa managerial accounting tidak terikat dengan standard akuntansi dan lebih menekankan kepada kebutuhan manajemen dalam pengambilan keputusan.
    Pada workshop ini akan dipelajari teknik-teknik dan konsep managerial accounting sehingga para peserta dapat lebih berperan dalam proses pengambilan keputusan bisnis.
